Mengi Yay dates its story to 1964, when Ramazan Mengi began learning boat construction in Istanbul. Muzaffer Yay joined the company in 1978 and production moved to Tuzla in 1983. The yard now builds custom motor and sailing yachts longer than 20 metres.
